Vanessa Parad is new face of Chanel handbags

Hollywood star Johnny Depp’s girlfriend Vanessa Paradis has been signed on as the new face of Chanel Coco Cocoon buy coach  handbags.

Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld hosted a party in Cannes last week with French magazine Madame Figaro to celebrate the release of pictures of their new face, reports dailymail.co.uk.

“Karl had a show and a party, but Lily was not invited. It was Karl’s way of making it clear she is no longer a part of the Chanel family. He instructed his people not to invite her,” said a source from the fashion industry.

“He is very strict about who can represent the brand and there is a feeling that Lily is too much of a party girl,” the source added.

The brand’s other ambassadors include Keira Knightley and Kate Moss.

LILY ALLEN’s stint as a spokesmodel for iconic fashion house Chanel has come to an end - she’s been replaced by French star VANESSA PARADIS.

The Smile singer was handpicked by designer Karl Lagerfeld last year (09) to front an advertising campaign for the high-end brand’s wholesale handbags range.

But label bosses have now ended their relationship with Allen - and they’ve picked Johnny Depp’s singer/actress wife Paradis to represent the line.

A Chanel spokesperson confirms, “She (Allen) was the face, but now it is Vanessa.”

Paradis has been working with Chanel for the last two years, promoting its fragrance.
